Golden Retrievers are one of the most beloved dog breeds in the world, known for their friendly, tolerant attitudes and beautiful golden coats. Originally bred in Scotland in the mid-19th century as hunting dogs, they have become exceptional family companions, therapy dogs, and service animals.

The Golden Retriever was developed in the Scottish Highlands during the late 1800s by Lord Tweedmouth. He crossed a yellow Wavy-Coated Retriever with a Tweed Water Spaniel, later adding Irish Setter and Bloodhound to the mix. The breed was officially recognized by the Kennel Club of England in 1911.
